5 the world's tallest building

1. Burj Khalifa

     Burj Khalifa is known as the Burj Dubai before the inauguration, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the current tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m. Construction began on September 21, 2004, with the exterior structure was completed on October 1, 2009. The building was officially opened on January 4, 2010 and is part of the development of a new two km2 (490-acre) called Downtown Dubai's flagship in the main business district "First Interchange" along Sheikh Zayed Road, near Dubai.

 
    The total project cost is approximately U.S. $ 1.5 billion;. and for the construction of "Downtown Dubai" the whole, U.S. $ 20 billion. In March 2009, Mohamed Ali Alabbar, chairman of the project developer, Emaar Properties, said the price of office space at Burj Khalifa reached U.S. $ 4,000 per sq ft (more than U.S. $ 43,000 per ) and Armani Residences, also in Burj Khalifa, sold for U.S. $ 3,500 per sq ft (more than U.S. $ 37,500 per ).

      Completion of this project coincides with the global financial crisis in 2007-2010, and with extensive overbuilding in the state, led to high vacancy and foreclosure. With Dubai's mired in debt of great ambitions, the government was forced to seek billions of dollars in bailouts from the oil-rich neighbor Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, in a surprise move during the opening ceremony, the tower was renamed the Burj Khalifa, said in honor of the UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support this important.



2.  Taipei 101

    Taipei 101 was formerly known as the Taipei World Financial Center, is a landmark skyscraper located in Xinyi District, Taipei, Taiwan. The building official as the highest ranking in the world from 2004 until the opening of Khalifa Burj Dubai in 2010. Taipei 101 was designed by C.Y. Lee & partners and constructed primarily by KTRT Joint Venture. The tower has served as an icon of modern Taiwan since the opening, and receive Emporis Skyscraper Award 2004. Fireworks launched from Taipei 101 feature prominently in international New Year's Eve broadcast and structure often appear in the literature of travel and international media.

 
      Taipei 101 consists of 101 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. The building is architecturally built as a symbol of the evolution of technology and tradition of Asia postmodernist approach Its style combines elements of traditional design and gives them a modern treatment. The tower is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes. A shop next to the tower hundreds of fashionable homes, restaurants and club store multi-level mall.

      Taipei 101 is owned by the Taipei Financial Center Corporation (TFCC) and administered by the Division of Urban Retail Properties International Corporation based in Chicago. The name originally planned for the building, Taipei World Financial Center, until 2003, derived from the name of the owner. The original name in Chinese literally, Taipei International Financial Center.



3.  Shanghai World Financial Center

     Shanghai World Financial Center is a supertall skyscraper in Pudong, Shanghai, China. It is a skyscraper using a mixture consisting of offices, hotels, conference rooms, observations decks, and shopping centers on the ground floor. Park Hyatt Shanghai is a hotel containing 174 rooms and suites components. Occupying floors 79 to 93, it is the second tallest hotel in the word, surpassing the Grand Hyatt Shanghai in 53 to 87 floors of the neighboring Jin Mao Tower.


     On 14 September 2007 the skyscraper was held out at 492,0 meters (1,614,2 ft) and became the second tallest building in the world, and the tallest structure in the People's Republic of China, including Hongkong. It also has the highest floor and occupy yhe highest peak of the roof, the two categories used to determine the tittle of "World Tallest Buildind".

      On August 28, 2008, the SWFC officially opened for business and two days later, the world's highest observation deck opened to the view of three levels. This view is highest at 474 m (1555 ft) above ground level. Continue to have the world's highest observation deck.

    The SWFC has been praised for the design and reffered to by architects as the best skyscaper completed in 2008.


4. International Commerce Centre

     International Trade Centre (abbr. ICC Tower) has a height of 108, 484 m (1588 ft). The skyscraper completed in 2010 in West Kowloon, Hong Kong. This is part of Union Square project built on top of Kowloon Station. Development is owned and jointly developed by MTR Corporation Limited and Sun Hung Kai Properties, Hong Kong's metro operator and largest property developer respectively. Currently the fourth tallest building in the world.

 
   The name of the formal development is Union Square Phase 7 and the name of the International Trade Centre was officially announced in 2005. International Trade Centre were completed in stages from 2007 to 2010. The tower was opened in 2011, with the opening of the Ritz-Carlton at the end of March and the observatory at the beginning of April.

      Sun Hung Kai Properties also developed, along with other developers in Hong Kong key, Henderson Land, the second tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong, 2 International Finance Centre, located just across Victoria Harbour in Central, Hong Kong Island.
 
 5. Petronas Towers

     Petronas Towers (also known as the Petronas Twin Towers or KLCC) is the world's tallest building for six years, from 1998 until Taipei 101 was completed in 2004. Height was measured to the top of the tower their structural components such as towers, but not including the antenna. Spires are considered integral parts of the actual architectural design of buildings, where substantial changes will alter the look and design of buildings, while the antenna can be added or removed without such consequences. Petronas Towers still the tallest twin buildings in the world.


      Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) and the World Trade Center towers each constructed with 110 occupied floors - 22 more than 88-story Petronas Towers. Antenna Tower Willis highest is 247.4 ft taller than the Petronas Towers, however, in accordance with regulations and guidelines CTBUH, the antenna of Willis Tower is not counted as part of the architectural features of the tower. the Petronas Towers are included in the height because they are not antenna masts. Therefore, the Petronas Towers Willis exceeds the official tall tower with 10 m.
